Hi, I'm Jack! 👋
With experience teaching online and in person and a first-class degree from the Royal College of Music (RCM), I would love to be a part of your musical education!
I believe music lessons should be fun and engaging. My lessons are based on an enthusiastic and engaging teaching style, while pushing my students to grow in their skills and technique. Regardless of whether working towards grade exams or learning for purely for enjoyment, I tailor my lessons to suit the individual needs of my students.

I can help you develop your musical voice! I have a background in orchestral and chamber music, and I have written and produced music for the concert hall and for media.

trumpet
I've taught trumpet for 3 years, both in-person and online. Playing cornet and trumpet was how I first became interested in music, and I was heavily involved in brass bands and orchestras throughout my teenage years.
After I moved to London to pursue my composition degree at the RCM, I began teaching trumpet over zoom.
Since then, I have helped students progress in their musical journey by equipping them with the knowledge and technique to pass their grades and expand their musical horizons. Whether you're a complete beginner or you already have some experience on the trumpet, I'd love to help you progress in your playing.
music theory
I also teach music theory lessons! Theory has a reputation for being quite daunting, but it can be very exciting (I promise!)
Learning theory will help you level up your playing and writing, and gain a new appreciation for how music is written and performed. I teach the ABRSM syllabus up to grade 5, which is an excellent foundation in Western Classical theory.
As your teacher, I'll help explain key concepts with piano demos, quizzes and music examples.
